Xcel Program

summer-schedule-button
The Xcel Program is a USA Gymnastics sanctioned program designed to offer an affordable competitive alternative to the traditional USA Gymnastics Junior Olympic competitive programs.  The purpose of the Xcel Program is to present recreational gymnasts the opportunity to participate in competition and/or provide Junior Olympic competitive gymnasts the opportunity to continue competition without the intense time commitment.

At RRVG we continually evaluate the needs of our gymnasts and have expanded our curriculum to include the Xcel Program.  We feel that offering this new program option for our gymnasts will help forward their skill development and offer an alternative to the very regimented USAG J.O. competitive program.  The interest in this program has grown throughout the country as well as locally in gyms throughout Region 4.  Currently there are three Xcel Programs in North Dakota, RRVG, TNT Gymnastics in Fargo, ND, and Crosby Gymnastics in Crosby, ND.  In addition, there are several programs offered in MN.

The Xcel program is comprised of five levels; bronze, silver, gold, platinum, and diamond.  All routines are optional with certain requirement variations and can be designed to showcase the gymnast’s strengths.   Because of it’s growing popularity, in 2013 the USAG will be standardizing the Xcel Program requirements.
